Billion ↔ 억·조 Converter
Can you picture “$35.1B in revenue” in won or yen? Enter one number and get it in English, Korean and Japanese units and major currencies at once. Quarterly and annual figures can be broken down per day and per second.
Why the units trip people up
English groups digits by thousands (thousand, million, billion, trillion). Korean and Japanese group by ten-thousands (만/万, 억/億, 조/兆). That makes converting a billion or a million into 억 or 조 surprisingly error-prone.
| English | Number | Korean | Japanese |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 million | 1,000,000 | 100만 | 100万 |
| 100 million | 100,000,000 | 1억 | 1億 |
| 1 billion | 1,000,000,000 | 10억 | 10億 |
| 1 trillion | 1,000,000,000,000 | 1조 | 1兆 |
Exchange rates
Rates are European Central Bank reference rates via the Frankfurter API, updated once per business day, so they may differ slightly from your bank’s. You can overwrite any rate by hand.
Per day, per second
Earnings are usually quarterly (about 91 days) or annual (365 days). Pick a period to see how much is earned or spent per day, per hour and per second, which is a handy way to feel the size of a big number.
