Privacy Policy

cast_otter (“the site”) handles as little personal information as possible. This policy applies to castotter.com and all of its pages.

1. Information we collect directly

The site has no sign-up or login, and we do not directly collect personal information such as names or contact details. Values you enter into our tools are processed only inside your browser; they are never sent to or stored on our servers.

2. Information processed automatically

The site is served through Cloudflare, which may process access logs such as IP address, browser type and request time for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.

3. Cookies and advertising

The site may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. When it does:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors’ cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • See how Google uses data from partner sites.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though ads may be less relevant.

4. Third-party services we use

  • Cloudflare: hosting and security
  • jsDelivr: delivery of fonts and the 3D graphics library
  • Frankfurter (ECB exchange rates): exchange rates for the unit converter. Only the rate request is sent, never your inputs.
  • X (formerly Twitter): outbound links, governed by X’s own privacy policy.

5. Children

The site is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

6. Your rights and contact

For privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete information, reach us via the contact page. We will respond without undue delay.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with its effective date.
